Can a chipped windscreen be repaired instead of replaced?: Often, yes — a small chip away from the edge of the glass and outside the driver's direct line of sight can usually be repaired. Larger cracks, or damage in the driver's line of sight, generally need a full replacement.
Will a crack in my windscreen fail the MOT?: It depends on size and position. Damage larger than 10mm in the driver's line of sight, or larger than 40mm elsewhere in the swept area, is an MOT failure. We can check yours and advise.
Do you recalibrate the camera after a windscreen replacement?: Yes. Many modern cars have a camera mounted on the windscreen for lane assist and other safety systems. If yours is fitted with one, we recalibrate it after the new screen is bonded.
